Note: for hard water, descale twice a year. (If you don't know what type of water you have, check the water tank - hard water tends to leave white marks)

2. Eject your capsules after each use
3. Change the water tank regularly, and refill with fresh drinking water
4. Empty and clean the capsule container and drip tray on a regular basis
5. For integrated milk devices, activate the cleaning procedure after each use
6. Before your first coffee, brew water without a capsule by pressing any coffee button.
When you do this, you pre-heat your coffee cup while rinsing the extraction system for a better coffee experience.
All the Nespresso machines are equipped with a 19-bar pressure pump, which provides the power needed to pierce the film of the capsule and release the coffee's 900 or so different aromas.
The shape of the Nespresso capsule has been specially designed to ensure that the pressurized water flows evenly through the ground coffee during extraction. The temperature and flow time are also set to ensure that each precious aroma is expressed.
If there is no coffee flow, please check that:
1. The main supply cord is not trapped between the water tank and the machine
2. The water tank is sufficiently full and correctly positioned
3. Your machine is turned ON (lights ON)
4. If there is low coffee flow, it means you may need to descale your machine.
2. If there is no light, it means that this machine switches itself OFF automatically after 9 mins (factory settings). This time can be changed to 30 mins.
Procedure:
- Switch the machine OFF.
- Press the Espresso button for 3 seconds
- The Espresso button will blink to indicate the current setting (once for 9 mins, twice for 30 mins)
- To exit, press the Lungo button for 3 seconds

- 3-4 nougat chocolate

- Prepare the coffee in a Lungo cup
- Top the coffee with milk froth prepared using the steam nozzle of your Nespresso machine or the Aeroccino milk frother
- Sprinkle shavings of nougat chocolate on top and add an After Eight® chocolate mint to the milk froth to finish
- Serve immediately

Ingredients
- capsules of Livanto coffee (to produce 80 ml / 3 oz of Espresso coffee)
- teaspoons of orgeat or almond barley water
- 1130 ml / 4,5 oz of milk
- ¼ teaspoon of bitter almond extract
- Cocoa powder
- Amaretto (almond biscuit)
Let's make it!
- Pour 2 teaspoons of orgeat or almond barley water into each cappuccino cup
- Prepare the 2 capsules of Livanto coffee in espressos ( 2 x 40 ml /1,5 oz)
- Add the bitter almond extract to the milk and prepare the milk froth using the steam nozzle of your Nespresso machine or the Aeroccino milk frother
- Top each cappuccino cup with the flavoured milk froth
- Sprinkle with cocoa powder if desired
- Garnish each cappuccino cup with an Amaretto biscuit and serve immediately

- capsule of either Roma or Ristretto Deca or Arpeggio Deca
- tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk
- teaspoon of bitter cocoa powder
- 100 ml / 3.5 oz of skimmed milk
- ¼ : teaspoon of powdered cinnamon
- teaspoons of caramel syrup
- teaspoons of double cream, at room temperature
- stick of cinnamon
Let's make it!
- Put the condensed milk into a cappuccino cup
- Add the cocoa, the cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of milk at room temperature
- Stir with a long, slim whisk until it becomes smooth
- On top of this, prepare an Espresso (40 ml / 1.5 oz) with a capsule of either Roma or Decaffeinato Intenso Grand Cru
- Top with the cream, and a drizzle of caramel
- Garnish with the cinnamon stick
- Enjoy immediately
Roma is the Intenso coffee with the most finesse - think of it as the essence of chic. Rich, complex, delicate, Roma is known for its base of woodsy, roasty, cereal coffees that we light roast alongside a high-grown washed Arabica with refined aromatics.
Arpeggio Decaffeinato has the same force of attraction as Arpeggio - but without caffeine. After careful decaffeination, we played with the roasts and the grind until these Latin American Arabicas had Arpeggio’s rich, creamy taste and its distinct cocoa aroma.
Ristretto is Italian for ‘restricted’ - it’s what they did in Naples to their espresso to create this even shorter, more intense café classic. The Ristretto coffee blend reflects that with its powerful and contrasting character. Ristretto Decaffeinato treads in the same steps but without caffeine - doubly restricted, even less becomes more.
Ingredients
- capsule of Decaffeinato Lungo Grand Cru (to produce 110 ml / 3.75 oz of Lungo coffee)
- Apple & Ginger herbal tea bag
- teaspoons of maple syrup
- tablespoons of milk froth
- A pinch of ground cinnamon
Let's make it!
- Place the herbal tea bag in a cappuccino cup and prepare your Decaffeinato Lungo Grand Cru in espresso (40 ml / 15 oz) directly in the cup
- Allow the apple and ginger tea to infuse for 4 minutes, then remove the bag
- Add the maple syrup to the coffee
- Set aside
- Prepare the milk froth using the steam nozzle of your Nespresso machine or the Aeroccino milk frother
- Place 3 tablespoons of frothed milk on top of the coffee
- Sprinkle with ground cinnamon
